At Deka Elektronik, as part of our efforts to strengthen university-industry collaboration, we held a production planning webinar with the Gazi University Industrial Engineering Society.
Throughout the webinar, we discussed production planning processes in electronic board manufacturing through practices at Deka Elektronik and the Canias ERP system. Using practical examples, we shared how production planning is managed throughout the process, from customer orders to shipment.
After introducing Deka Elektronik and our Planning Team, we discussed the requirements of the automotive and defense industries for manufacturing processes. We then covered the general structure of the Canias ERP system and its use in manufacturing processes, starting with the raw data that forms the basis of production planning.
Production Planning Processes with Canias ERP
As the webinar continued, we covered Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing creation, order collection and planning, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), work order creation, material collection, and traceability.
We also discussed the tracking of production operations through routing and the role of our machinery and equipment in production planning, followed by delivery note preparation and shipment processes. In this way, we provided participants with an end-to-end overview of the planning and production flow in electronics manufacturing, from the entry of an order into the system through to shipment.
We also addressed the traceability, efficiency, and process management capabilities provided by ERP systems in manufacturing and explained the role of production planning in coordinating operations.
Throughout the webinar, we answered questions from students and exchanged knowledge based on industry practices and our experience in production planning.
During the presentation, our Planning Team Leader, Kıvanç Mutlu, shared his knowledge and experience in production planning processes and contributed to the webinar.
